Hello,
I am so very happy to welcome you all to my first grade class. I am a a new teacher just out of college so I have tons of ideas and projects that I can't wait to have your children involved in. I encourage any suggestions or comments about anything in my classroom. I want to do my best to enrich your child's learning experience. Not only while they are in my class but also when they go into other classes.
I feel it is very important to have as much parent support in the classroom at all times. I encourage parents to come visit and possibly participate in the learning experience. I will be setting up times when parents can come in and help during reading time. The parent will come in and read a story to a group of students while I take a few to the side to evaluate them on their reading skills. I also have a few moms and a dad that have contacted me about being class parents. They will be planning parties for the class and they will also be the first I contact when it is time for the class to go on field trips or if I just need extra help in the classroom. If you would like to be apart of this group just contact me and I will add you to the list. All are welcome, the more the better.
I truly want you and your children to feel like this is a second home. So feel more than welcome to come in an visit at any time. I am so excited about starting this year off.
